Gibraltar is going through great changes at the moment.
England has had an important strategic military bastion situated on Gibraltar for last couple of centuries. However, new military technology and general disarmament has made a military presence partly superfluous.

In order to replace the missing income from the military, the Government of Gibraltar are now trying to create a financial centre with better communication and improved housing, offices and hotel facilities.

Europort is an office building project designed and built in 1989-1993 on a reclaimed area on the north side of the large harbour area.
The building has a total area of approx. 92,000 sq m² incl. an approx. 19,000 sq m² P-basement.
